The No Barriers Global Explorers youth programs have been awarded the prestigious Partners in Conservation Award from the Department of Interior. Staff received the award last week at a gala in DC from Deputy Secretary David Hayes. As explained by Hayes, “These awards recognize dedicated citizens from across our nation who collaborate to conserve and restore America’s Great Outdoors, to encourage youth involvement in conservation and to forge solutions to complex natural resource challenges.” Meanwhile, last week in Illinois, Pat Quinn, Governor of Illinois, joined No Barriers and more than 40 prominent business leaders to highlight the important work we are doing in Chicago and beyond.
