NO BARRIERS FESTIVAL 2007 Testimonials

I would very much like to participate in future NO BARRIERS FESTIVALS. This was truly an inspirational event for me and my family.
Geoff Manley

I had many magical moments, that’s for sure. I won’t ever be the same after NO BARRIERS. You know, the festival transcended all belief systems; political, religious and societal.

I learned so much from so many people about disabilities, about courage, about hope, strength and will. I look forward to working with you on your next festival and on other projects.

Without a doubt the festival changed my life and I want to thank you and the others for allowing me to contribute and participate. I was truly humbled by the extraordinary number of individuals with disabilities ranging from dual upper or lower amputees, blindness, deafness, CP, MS, and para/quadriplegia all dealing with life and facing obstacles head on. The cool thing is that everyone seemed to draw inspiration from each other!
Alexander G. Rabchevsky, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Physiology
University of Kentucky

I think overall the event was a huge success. Participants seemed to get a lot out of the experience and so many tried new things. I hope that the FESTIVAL continues at Squaw Valley USA as it is a superb site.
Stephanie Kaplan, PT, DTP, ATP
Director
California Physical Therapy Association

Back safely in the UK, I’m reflecting on NO BARRIERS and what an enjoyable experience it was to be part of. I found it a successful, engaging, inspiring and wonderful event. Thank you for all your hard work in getting it off the ground!

Thank you for opening up such a wonderful event to the veterans we work with. It was a fantastic time and everyone has such wonderful memories to take away with them.

What a pleasure it was being a part of the NO BARRIERS FESTIVAL. It truly was a great event and I experienced so much.

I would like to thank each of you for getting me involved with the No Barriers organization. My kids and I had a terrific time in Tahoe. With a little coaching, they decided to buy a Segway and donate it to a wounded soldier through Jerry Kerr's organization. That is not something easy for a child to learn and I appreciate that participating in the festival allowed them to see another side of life and think beyond themselves.

I can’t thank you enough for creating such an amazing event. It far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Rock on!

To say the NO BARRIERS FESTIVAL 2007 was powerfully informative would be a gross understatement. As a multiply disabled person struggling to survive in Nevada, I saw and heard things that left me incomprehensibly moved. And I thank you for putting it together.

Board Member

Thank you for a great event. I came back totally fired up to get back to work on accessible recreation and adventure. I came away realizing that adaptive sports and adventure fit together so well because they both appeal to people who like finding creative solutions to new challenges.

It was an absolutely outstanding event that all our veterans and staff thoroughly enjoyed. You outdid yourselves! What a wonderful atmosphere for learning and growth for all.
