Charlamain Caycedo graduated high school in May 2001 and left to join the US Navy just six days later. She was called to action after the 9/11 attacks and proudly served as a Master at Arms. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom aboard the flagship of Expeditionary Strike Group One.
Currently, Charlamain works as a Respiratory Therapist at her local Veterans Affairs office. Her husband, a former Marine, and she has two boys. Together they enjoy hunting, fishing, and adventuring.
Through this expedition, Charlamain hopes to do something that she has always dreamed of: hike remotely in the mountains. She feels that mountains are majestic. Charlamain hops to prove to herself that she can achieve anything that she dreams of doing and believes that this expedition will be life-changing.
