Jenna grew up in South Florida, and moved to Columbus, Ohio, the summer before her senior year in high school. While upset she had to leave behind the beach and sunshine at first, she eventually fell in love with the Midwest for its change of seasons and the infinite amount of year-round recreational activities.
Jenna believes that the outdoors are a powerful thing. It brings families together by reducing stress and boosting moods. It allows us to pause and take in a breath of fresh air in the midst of our busy lives. In the spring and summer, Jenna, her husband and son spend much of their free time riding bikes on local trails to visit parks, restaurants and grandma’s house. The family will typically ride 10+ miles around town on any given day. Only five-years-old, Liam leads the way on their long rides on his 6-speed bike. The family also finds joy in visiting Captiva Island, Florida, twice a year where they spend their days in the warm sun and ocean breeze surrounded by nature.
Jenna never takes for granted that her family can be active together and travel often. With twelve years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and programming with non-profits, she was drawn to No Barriers because it helps individuals facing adversity overcome their challenges so they can live their best life, enjoying all that it has to offer.
