Kelsey grew up at the base of Pikes Peak in the Colorado Rockies. Raised at a summer camp in the wilderness of Pike National Forest, she learned early on the impact that nature and enthusiasm can have on a person. From building forts to learning the importance in respecting nature, Kelsey’s passion for the outdoors took and spread to the rest of her life. This brought her to Colorado State University to study Natural Resources Recreation and Tourism.
In between classes, she began to explore her home state to take full advantage of what it has to offer. By leading adventure and backpacking trips for students in the summer and taking friends out camping and skiing for the first time she developed a passion for introducing others to the many fun outdoor activities. After working in various roles and non-profits in Colorado Springs, she landed in Fort Collins and found a home with the No Barriers Warriors team in hopes to further the role exciting outdoor experiences have in changing the lives of those who have committed to serve our country. Kelsey lives in Fort Collins with her husband and yellow lab, Delta, where she loves to cook and eat great food and spend time outside in any capacity from gardening to backpacking, skiing, and beyond!
