Kim Manning served in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse for twenty seven years. Being in the military has provided her with amazing professional and personal opportunities, and enabled her to gain life long friends. Kim cherishes her time in the military as a period in her life where she knew she was a part of something larger than herself. She loved being a part of a close knit team with a common mission.
Kim is excited to see what life brings post-military. She spends much of her free time kayaking, cycling, and reading. After she was introduced to an adaptive sports program, which has become a vital part of her wellbeing. The experience helped her to explore how her military and medical skills can be better leveraged to help veterans ands their families navigate the healthcare system. She looks forward to this expedition as an opportunity to expand her skill set and increase her confidence. Kim longs to be a productive part of a team in which she can contribute, and hopes to encourage her teammates and to be encouraged so that can all reach their personal summits.
