Richard Roberts is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, with 21 years of experience under his belt. During his decades in the service, he deployed to Turkey, Qatar, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Currently, Richard works for the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Program Analyst. He and his wife have been married for 26 years and have two wonderful children together.
Richard was diagnosed with PTSD in 2005 and has been on a post-traumatic growth journey ever since. While he has many “tools” in his “toolbox”, he looks forward to learning new skills and practices to better manage his symptoms. Richard loves getting outdoors. He looks forward to connecting with a network of other veterans with disabilities in the outdoors. Richard knows that as the team establishes trust amongst each other, they will strengthen their Rope Team so that they may have an even stronger network in their time of need.
