Shea Sullivan walked into an Army recruiting office in the summer of 2007 and knew exactly what she wanted. A few short weeks later, she was on her way to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, to begin the greatest adventure of her life. Shea fell in love lacing her boots every day. She started to walk differently and speak with confidence. Most importantly, Shea learned to trust the men and women standing beside her.
Shea separated from service in 2016 and there is no denying that she misses it. Her life has become predictable and she feels like she is once again searching for her purpose. Through this expedition, she hopes to find a sense of comradery again. She believes this expedition will help her to stay better engaged and to find a new purpose. She looks forward to this new challenge.
