Tim Peterson

Corvallis, Montana - US MARINE CORPS

Tim Peterson served in the US Marine Corps for 20 years. He began his service as a Field Artilleryman and also served as a Marine Security Guard. He deployed to South Korea and Okinawa twice, and spent a few years aboard naval ships. Tim also participated in the invasion of Iraq in March of 2003 as a Gunnery Sergeant in charge of 267 Marines.

In his civilian life, Tim has recently taken up welding and blacksmithing. He loves to spend time in the backcountry of western Montana. After his first No Barriers experience, Tim was inspired to volunteer with B.E.A.R., a nonprofit organization that inspires youth to connect to their potential, their community and the landscape through experiential and outdoor adventures.
Through this expedition, he hopes to build on the No Barriers Life that he embarked on and to help other veterans connect to their potential.
