No Barriers Family Caregiver Programming focuses on events, outings, and experiences that will expand a family caregiver’s community, encourage and provide tools for critical and often-forgotten self-care, and individual empowerment in order to live a No Barriers life.
About the Facilitator:
Paul is an acclaimed Australian performing artist, storyteller and educator who has been mentored by Wardaman Aboriginal Elder Yidumduma Bill Harney for 30 years. Paul directs the Yubulyawan Dreaming Project which documents and shares Wardaman cultural heritage. Adopted into the Wardaman, he is named Jalala, “long tall skinny fella.” He celebrates indigenous wisdom as a touring artist in education, highlight Aboriginal stories, songs, dances, and paintings. Working on both US & Australian continents, Paul has been honored with the 2013 Australian of the Year State Finalist Award and the 2015 Wyoming Governors Arts Award.
Paul’s presentations and workshops will offer Creation Story, ritual, song, dance, rock art, and video.
