What’s within you is stronger than what’s in your way.

There’s always something. It’s a barrier that shows up in our lives—and sometimes feels unfairly handed.

Sometimes it’s an internal struggle: a lack of confidence, feeling unfulfilled by your day-to-day, or being too scared to leap.

It keeps you stuck. You say no to things you’d actually like to tick off the bucket list. You get too comfortable. But, deep in your gut, you know “I’m meant for more, I swear.”

For some, it’s a physical challenge that makes us doubt our capabilities…

It holds you back. You see others having adventures—being independent in big cities or paddle-boarding on a family vacation. You’d also love to challenge yourself and try new things, but you’re unsure of how to make it happen.

The rug was pulled out from under me. Everything changed. What now?

“Life looks so different now. I don’t know what I should be doing as a person with a disability.”

“I have a connective tissue disorder — my doctors say I’m killing myself by showing up to work each day. I have to quit, but my job is my life and I have a 2 year old to take care of.”

“Rock bottom was after amputations, after the rehab hospital. Rock bottom was when I started to realize what a burden I’m gonna be forever. I’m a Mom. I take care of people — I’m not the one who’s taken care of.”

“It gives me anxiety walking into new places — people don’t know what to do with a person who is blind.”

“People don’t see me as an individual. They see their idea of what a disability is. And that’s ‘can’t.”

“I don’t do things I would’ve done before this all happened.”

But here’s the thing: You’re capable of much more than you think. We’ll show you.

“The healing environment provided by No Barriers was life-changing… No Barriers provided me and my group with avenues to replace hopelessness—not only with hope, but with renewed passion for living life to the fullest!” Gretchen E.

It’s no secret that life has its challenges, and for some of us, it feels we’ve been dealt a harder hand than those around us.

But what if you could use these challenges to propel your life forward, faster than you could imagine?

You can. And here’s more good news:

Neuroscience and personal performance studies say you need the stress and adversity you’ve faced to grow. Even if this feels hard to accept (and you have every reason to feel that way), your barrier can be an opportunity. A catalyst.

What if you could…

  • Stop feeling trapped
  • Say “Yes!” to the race, sign up for the cooking class, and begin doing things you once thought were impossible
  • Start feeling self-assured and being yourself everywhere, all the time
  • Take the thing that feels frustrating, hard, or unfair right now… and use it to give back to the world (even if you don’t know how you’re going to do that yet)
  • Avoid allowing other people’s perceptions to define you opinions, your past, or bad feelings define you
  • Gain control of the negativity in your life
  • Stay away from feeling like an outsider or like you’re missing something others seem to just “get”

You can do that.

But in order to make it happen, you’ve got to develop a new framework—for new attitudes, behaviors, and tools to live your best life. It’s time to move forward and design the life you know is meant for you.

It’s called the No Barriers Life. And it’s your turn to live it.

Learn from Erik Weihenmayer, co-founder of No Barriers and the first blind man to climb Mount Everest.

Redefining what it means to be blind, Erik has transformed the image of blindness and opened up the minds of people around the world.

In addition to his trek to the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, he completed his quest for the Seven Summits – reaching the highest peaks on each of the seven continents in 2008.

Erik refuses to let blindness interfere with his passion for an exhilarating and fulfilling life and actively seeks opportunities to help others adopt a similar mindset. In 2004, Erik and his Everest teammates led a group of blind Tibetan teenagers to 21,000 feet on the north face of Everest as an educational outreach project. Their journey was documented in the film Blindsight. In 2010, Erik and his Everest team led the first Soldiers to Summits (now No Barriers’ Warriors) climb to the summit of Lobuche in the Himalayas, a quest documented in the film High Ground.

Erik co-founded not merely an organization, but rather, a movement called No Barriers. The mission is to help people with challenges, all of us to some extent, to turn into the storm of life, face barriers head on, embrace a pioneering and innovative spirit and team up with great people to live a life rich in meaning and purpose.

This year for the first time ever, these principles designed to transform lives are offered in an online learning format.

Introducing… The No Barriers 8-Week Online Course

Live with purpose, push fear aside, and start building the life you always wanted.

Through transformative tools, No Barriers Online is designed to fully unleash your human spirit, so you can fulfill your potential and offer the world a light found only in you.

And it only takes 90 minutes per week.

“I really do feel more empowered and more able. Seeing that I’m able to do stuff like that even a month ago, a year ago — I wouldn’t have even tried. I feel like I’m better able to mentally push through. If I have a setback, that’s ok but I can keep reaching for whatever it is that I want to accomplish”Becky, No Barriers Warriors Alumni

By committing to the No Barriers life, it’s possible for you to…

Feel more confident about who you are and the impact you want to make in the world. Uncover what values matter most to you, then set intentions to start truly living by them.

Make strides towards a new reality and seek experiences outside your comfort zone (only this time, it’s exciting, not scary!). Uncertainty may feel less daunting and you’ll have support and tools to chase your dreams.

Innovate new ways to get through old challenges. Discover strategies and feel more confident facing your struggles. Feel inspired to “just try it!”

Identify your go-to team—friends, family, colleagues—and learn how to build your community even more. With your dream team in place, you’ll notice you accomplish things faster and your goals unfold easier and more naturally.

You have more control over your life experiences than you thought. What someone else might get down about, you’ll be able to reframe. Situations that once felt insurmountable won’t feel so daunting. With this new mindset, you’ll feel happier, more energized, and more capable of harnessing your adversity to create something that gives back to the world.

Start noticing gifts in your life that you weren’t even looking for! You’ll be able to reflect on your experiences and draw meaningful lessons from them moving forward. This will help you set new intentions to enrich your life and the world around you.

Find ways to start giving back. Turn your perspective from focusing inward to outward. Take your growth and inspire others on their own paths. Feel committed to impact the world as a leader who serves.

There’s a space in between “the challenge” and “the outcome.” The outcome is determined by what happens in that space. That’s determined by YOU.

What’s inside…

The core course materials are mobile friendly and include real-life stories from our most inspiring No Barriers Ambassadors (like Mandy Harvey and Erik Weihenmayer, just to name a few!). You get a dedicated facilitator to guide you through each of the 7 No Barriers Life Elements. Plus…

Not sure yet?

We asked a few course alumni what they would say to someone in their shoes. Here’s what they wanted you to hear:

«I became wheelchair-bound in the past 5 years. There’s a lot of loss involved. There’s a period of time where you’re trying to pinpoint what you should be doing now with the life of a ‘disabled person.’ I used to be an upright skier and after the diagnosis, I didn’t ski for 7 or 8 years. Then I found adaptive skiing… something I didn’t even know existed. And in the last 3 years, I’ve become completely independent as an adaptive skier on the slopes.

I think a lot of people with multiple sclerosis give up and stop trying to do things. But your spirit still exists. Don’t be afraid to look inside and find your light and step forward. You always have a choice. It’s so easy to go into the negative side of not being able to use my legs. It can be a very dark place to be.

Even as an able-bodied person, there are normal barriers: work, raising children, broken relationships that can make life feel hard. And it’s so easy to go into the dark vortex there too. But you don’t have to go there, and there are always people willing to help you get to where you want to be, like the No Barriers team. There’s still hope. There’s still more.»—Amanda G.

«I don’t have any handicaps, physically. But I had been exposed to No Barriers. I heard the story about the founder, Erik the first blind man to summit Mount Everest, and I thought… ‘how do people do that? How does a person even have that outlook on life?’ When I took the course, it was January. So I was in the mode of being open to all possibilities. I was in a job I wanted to quit, and I wanted to live my best life yet.

I knew I needed people who were good role models to teach me. I wanted to push myself to show up to my family as an even better wife, provider and mother. I wanted to be my children’s ultimate guide. I thought…. ‘If I literally want to elevate my life, how do I do that? Is there some approach or guide that will help me do that?’

And I think this program was that.

Now, I’m resolved to living my best life ever, and to be open to every moment that might call me. I’ve started saying yes to more. I was invited on a trip and I made it to base camp Everest. That was not in my mind before this program! I also quit my job and I’m working on about 5 passion projects. The truth is, there’s an urgent cry for us to step up in the world. We need to take it up a notch. No Barriers can be that for you.»—Mary Beth

This program is for anyone who wants to elevate their life.

Do I have to have a disability to participate?
Nope! All kinds of bodies will take away massive value from this program.
