Position is seasonal, from mid June until August 2nd. The Adventure Camp Director will supervise the camp counselors and campers in our Monday-Friday residential camp near Red Feather Lakes, CO. Our camp is intentionally primitive with outdoor living and recreation as the focus. We take this one step further with our No Barriers Life curriculum to help our participants realize what’s within them is stronger than what’s in their way!
No Barriers Adventure Camp…
is NOT just a summer camp, we are a youth development program. We use outdoor adventure as a vehicle for learning leadership skills, building confidence, and promoting pro-social interactions. We encourage the kids participating in our program to believe that they are among the coolest, most appreciated, dynamic and capable individuals on the planet. We want our participants to realize what’s within them is stronger than what’s in their way.
No Barriers is a quickly growing, fast-paced nonprofit with a casual work environment filled with high expectations and unparalleled dedication to fulfill our mission to unleash the potential of the human spirit. We are passionate about the work we do and all wear many hats, have blurred lines between roles, value thinking big while keeping our feet grounded, crack a lot of jokes, clean our share of toilets, pack food (not at the same time as the toilets), comfort parents and homesick kids and get lost in details of logistics and risk management and staff training and paperwork and, and, and..

☑ An experienced professional working with youth and in the outdoor/camp setting

☑ Able to take the initiative, multi-task, and balance enthusiasm for working with youth in the outdoors with long hours of productivity and efficiency with logistics.
☑ Flexible above all. Each day is an adventure and NEVER ends the way it looked like it would at the start
