What followed was more than 21 years as a United States Army Infantry Officer. John served tours in South Korea and Egypt, and was deployed to combat in Iraq.

Erin Maskill

Events Manager

Erin developed a strong passion for the outdoors as well as serving others at a young age. She grew up in a family that prioritized volunteer work and helping people achieve their goals that may have seemed impossible without help from others. She has traveled multiple times to a small town on the coast of Ecuador with her family to provide resources and physical help to a small community that truly needs it. Through this work, Erin has developed a passion for giving back and is thrilled to work for a company that strives to have a positive impact on the world.

Erin is eager to incorporate her passions into her role as the Events Manager at No Barriers. After graduating with a master’s in Tourism Management from Colorado State University, she spent her summers as a raft guide on the Cache la Poudre River. The most rewarding part of this job was taking people rafting who deemed themselves physically incapable and watching them overcome these challenges while experiencing a thrilling outdoor experience. In the off-season, Erin was an Event Coordinator for the Vice President for Research at Colorado State University. She is excited to transition from coordinating research events to events that are oriented towards providing accessible outdoor recreation and overcoming barriers.
