The 2013 No Barriers Summit took place August 8-11 in Telluride, CO bringing together nearly 600 pioneers of the No Barriers Mindset, including scientists, adaptive professionals, inspiring speakers and performers, and many people with and without disabilities.
Some of the highlights included a record number of clinics offered to participants, especially new adventurous clinics like the Via Ferrata, the Tyrolean Traverse & the Adventure Race; we also contributed to the National Disabilities Mural Project; Amputee-violinist Adrian Anantawan achieved a lifetime goal of playing his violin on a mountain top; the demonstration of two different types of exoskeletons and a lecture on where the technology is headed; presentation of the No Barriers Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Hugh Herr; keynote speeches by Bob Woodruff and Kyle Maynard; and so, so much more!
Thank you to all of our sponsors, partners and volunteers who made this event possible! We are so humbled by your support! It was a truly special weekend for all involved, and we can’t wait to see you next year!
At the conclusion of the 2013 Summit, we launched a very exciting campaign to raise $1,000,000 to meet a match pledge made by one of our attendees. We would love your support – Donate Now!
