What’s Your Everest (WYE) is our signature annual community event and fundraiser—an inclusive mountain adventure day, where individuals of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds work together in “Rope Teams” to climb toward a literal and symbolic summit—and we are so excited to be at Winter Park in partnership with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD).

Accessible Rock Climbing: United Rocks

Date: July 19, 2026

Partners: United Rocks, Movement Englewood, Brewability

Recap: No Barriers was joined on the Front Range for an indoor rock climbing session with United Rocks at Movement Englewood, followed by food, folks, and fun at Brewability, an inclusive brewery and pizzeria dedicated to employing and empowering adults with disabilities.

Community Hike with CDA and GVORC

Date: June 27, 2026

Partners: Colorado Discover Ability (CDA), Grand Valley Outdoor Recreation Coalition (GVORC), and Powderhorn Mountain Resort.

Recap: No Barriers joined CDA and GVORC at Powderhorn Resort for a free morning of accessible, moderately difficult hiking surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery and a great group of people, followed by lunch at the base. The event was all about breaking through personal barriers and building connections in the great outdoors.

Evening with Erik Weihenmayer & the CDA

Partners: Colorado Discover Ability (CDA) and Grand Valley Outdoor Recreation Coalition (GVORC)

No Barriers screened the documentary Soundscapes, a sensory exploration of how blind climber and NB cofounder Erik Weihenmayer navigates the landscape, at the Colorado Discover Ability (CDA) Headquarters. The free evening of fun and connection with the Grand Junction community also included a conversation with Erik and demonstrations of all-terrain wheelchairs.

Rock Climbing with United Rocks

Recap: No Barriers and United Rocks came together with NB cofounder Erik Weihenmayer for a morning of adaptive, all-ages climbing at Movement Gym in Plano, Texas.

Partners: Artist John Bramblitt, Greater Denton Arts Council

Recap: No Barriers welcomed blind artist John Bramblitt to the Greater Denton Arts Council in Denton, Texas, where he shared his story and then guided more than 80 all-ages community members through a free painting activity. Each participant left with an 11×14 painting!
